Shopscope — AI Store Health Monitor

What Data We Collect
Section titled “What Data We Collect”When you install Shopscope, we access the following data from your Shopify store:
- Shop information — store name, domain, plan, currency, country, timezone
- Product data — titles, handles, status, inventory counts, pricing, image counts, descriptions (metadata only)
- Order data — order totals, financial status, fulfillment status, line item summaries (last 60 days). We do not collect customer names, emails, addresses, or any personally identifiable information.
- Theme data — theme name, role, version information
- Storefront public HTML — we fetch your publicly accessible storefront pages to check SEO, analytics tracking, and compliance signals
- Performance metrics — Core Web Vitals from Google PageSpeed Insights (a publicly available service)
What We Do NOT Collect
Section titled “What We Do NOT Collect”- Customer personal information (names, emails, addresses, phone numbers)
- Payment or financial account details
- Staff account information
- Passwords or authentication tokens (beyond the OAuth access token required by Shopify)
How We Use Your Data
Section titled “How We Use Your Data”Your data is used exclusively to:
- Generate your store health score and audit findings
- Produce AI-powered recommendations tailored to your store
- Compare your metrics against anonymized industry benchmarks
AI Processing
Section titled “AI Processing”We use Anthropic’s Claude AI to generate natural-language recommendations based on your audit findings. The data sent to the AI includes:
- Aggregated store metrics (product counts, revenue summaries, performance scores)
- Audit findings and evidence bundles
- No personally identifiable information is ever sent to the AI
Data Storage
Section titled “Data Storage”Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase (AWS eu-west-1 region). All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard TLS encryption.
Data Retention
Section titled “Data Retention”We retain your store data for as long as you have Shopscope installed. When you uninstall the app:
- We receive a
shop/redactwebhook from Shopify - All your store data is permanently deleted within 48 hours
- This includes all products, orders, audits, findings, and metrics associated with your store
Third-Party Services
Section titled “Third-Party Services”We do not sell, rent, or share your store data with any third parties. The only external services that process your data are:
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — receives aggregated, anonymized audit data for recommendation generation
- Google PageSpeed Insights — receives your public storefront URL for performance analysis (this is a publicly available service)
- Supabase — our database hosting provider, operating under their data processing agreement
Benchmarks
Section titled “Benchmarks”Shopscope provides cross-store benchmark comparisons. Your data contributes to anonymized aggregate statistics only when there are 5 or more stores in your segment. Individual store data is never exposed to other merchants.
Your Rights
Section titled “Your Rights”You can:
- Access your data — all your data is visible within the Shopscope app
- Delete your data — uninstall the app to trigger automatic deletion, or contact us for immediate removal
- Export your data — contact us at the email below to request a data export
GDPR Compliance
Section titled “GDPR Compliance”We process your data under the legal basis of legitimate interest (providing the service you installed). We comply with all applicable GDPR requirements, including responding to data subject access requests and data deletion requests within the timeframes specified by law.
